Turki Alalshikh Wants Zach Snyder To Make A UFC Movie Similar To ‘Cinderella Man’ After UFC Saudi Arabia

Another good mixed martial arts (MMA) movie is needed.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) had a very successful first trip to Saudi Arabia yesterday (Sat., June 22, 2024) when Robert Whittaker starched Ikram Aliskerov (not Khamzat Chimaev) in under two minutes (watch highlights).

After super important debut show, General Entertainment Authority [GeA] head Turki Alalshikh, aka the man who funded the fight card, joined lead play-by-play commentator Jon Anik and UFC CEO Dana White, to discuss his vast plans for the future, including a possible new UFC movie.

“I want to have a meeting with [White] and the director Zack Snyder, who’s a friend,” Alalshikh said. “We want to talk about doing a big movie about the UFC. Like The Cinderella Man, something like this. I would like to convince Zach Snyder he liked the idea and also convince Dana.”

He also wants to increase the crowd’s capacity to 30,000 and include women on the next card.

Let’s be honest; there have been some absolutely horrible MMA movies – only two have been good: Warrior (2011) and Here Comes The Boom (2012).

The other prominent ones, like Never Back Down (2008), Fighting (2009), Bruised (2021), and Road House (2024), were trash.

Now, Snyder has been on a cold streak lately with his projects, but a UFC-directed movie by him?

Hell yeah! I’m in.

What about you, Maniacs?
