It has been about a year and a half since legendary quarterback Tom Brady last played in an NFL game, but he has already started preparing for the next phase of his life.

He has been seen quite a bit lately between his roast and his New England Patriots retirement ceremony, and he is about to start a new career as a color commentator for Fox Sports’ coverage of the NFL.

He appeared on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” and when asked if quarterbacks are pressured to keep their top wide receiver involved, he gave a detailed and thoughtful analysis that may provide a glimpse at what he will be as a broadcaster.

It led Dov Kleiman to tweet that Brady “is going to be the best broadcaster of all time.”

A couple of days ago, Brady made his broadcasting debut when Fox televised the United Football League (UFL) championship game.

However, he was booed at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.

He will team up with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt on Fox for NFL games, and his contract with the network will reportedly pay him a staggering $375 million over ten years.

Brady, of course, is widely considered the greatest quarterback in league history after winning seven Super Bowl championships in his 23-year career, six of them coming with the Patriots.

Judging from that clip with Colin Cowherd, he does seem to have the eloquence to succeed as a broadcaster, and he obviously has the insight that comes from being an all-time great.
