Sticker shock! Jake Paul jacks up PPV price for Mike Perry boxing match on July 20

Jake Paul wants you to pay $64.99 to watch him box Mike Perry on July 20.

The DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) price tag marks his most expensive card to date. Prior to his “Platinum” clash at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., the most “The Problem Child” ever cost combat sports fans was $59.99, which includes showdowns against UFC veterans Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva, among others.

Speaking of Diaz, his Jorge Masvidal boxing match on July 6 in Anaheim will cost $79.99 (seriously), proof that websites should come with a built-in laugh track.

“I’m on a tear,” Paul said on The MMA Hour. “I’m not slowing down for anybody. If people want to delay fights, I’ve got to get my experience in the ring. I love fighting. I love going under the bright lights and I love putting on shows for the fans and I will become champion but to do that, I need experience. Mike Tyson is an absolute killer and I do want to face another absolute killer.”

With a victory over Perry, Paul is expected to box Mike Tyson this November on Netflix.

Paul is 9-1 as a pro boxer with six knockouts. His most recent performance ended in a first-round finish over Ryan Bourland last March in Puerto Rico. As for Perry (0-1), his one trip to the ring ended in a knockout loss to Birmingham bruiser Kenneth McNeil way back in 2015.

“You’ve been fighting these cab drivers and these f*cking fat pieces of shit,” Perry said. “You think that you’re going to do anything to a real f*cking man like me, you lost your mind. If you punch me in my face, I will smile and hit you back multiple times. He’s tricked the world into thinking he’s fantastic. I’ve been doing this shit a long time and I took the hard long road. I’m looking to show everybody what a real fighter is.”

Paul is currently the odds-on betting favorite.
