Earlier this week, the news broke that the Miami Dolphins had agreed to terms on a lucrative long-term contract extension with star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, which helps secure the future of one of their best offensive players moving forward.

Waddle has played a pivotal role with the Dolphins over the past three seasons, making a name for himself while also becoming part of one of the best and most talented wide receiver duos, playing alongside superstar wideout Tyreek Hill.

Hill and Waddle have proven to be one of the elite one-two punches in the NFL and favorite targets of superstar quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is also looking to sign a lucrative long-term deal with the team this offseason.

On Friday, the Dolphins took to Twitter to send out a video from Waddle, who wanted to address the team’s avid fanbase about signing a new three-year deal with the franchise to keep him in Miami for the foreseeable future.

According to reports, Waddle ended up signing a three-year contract extension with the Dolphins worth $84.7 million, with $76 million of the new deal being fully guaranteed.

With Waddle getting his deal done and clearly being happy about how things went down, the attention turns to Tagovailoa’s deal and how much he’ll get paid, and whether the team chooses to make him the highest-paid quarterback in the league.

Along with working on Tagovailoa’s extension, there’s been talk of Hill also wanting a new deal, which could further complicate the process but could also set up a bright future in Miami with all three of their stars taken care of.
