Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart react to Knicks trading for Mikal Bridges

The New York Knicks acquired Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges via trade Tuesday night in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and a plethora of draft picks, including four unprotected first-round picks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal reunites Bridges with his Villanova Wildcats teammates — Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. The four won a national championship in 2016 and played together for two seasons at Villanova. Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo won a second national title in 2018.

After being traded from the Phoenix Suns to Brooklyn in 2023, Bridges averaged a career-high 26.1 points in 27 games with the Nets that season. He averaged 19.6 points during the 2023-24 campaign.

Here’s how the sports world reacted to New York’s blockbuster trade for Bridges.
