For many young football players, making it to the NFL is their ultimate goal.

The NFL is the most successful and profitable football league in the world, and it continues to dominate sports viewership across the globe

When players do make it to the league, they try to stay in as long as possible, getting paid to play the game they love.

Getting injured or retiring can often harm a player’s mentality, as they have trained their whole life for this sport.

It can be difficult for them to know what to do after they retire or walk away from the sport, which is why many players attempt a comeback even after they’ve been away from the game for an extended period.

This appears to be the case for James Washington, who has missed most of the past two seasons with injuries.

According to Jeremy Fowler, several teams have reached out to Washington about a potential comeback, hoping his veteran leadership could be a good thing for their young wide receivers.

Washington won the Fred Blietnikoff Award in college, a likely reason for the Pittsburgh Steelers drafting him in the second round of the 2018 draft.

He played for the Steelers for four years before spending time with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Indianapolis Colts.

Washington might not have as much left in the tank as he used to, but he could still provide value to an NFL club, which is why some teams are reportedly interested in taking a chance on him.
