The New England Patriots have had some rough seasons since their last Super Bowl victory in 2018 and since Tom Brady left.
After the 2019 season, the Pats won 10+ games just one time.
Bill Belichick couldn’t guide the Patriots to another AFC East title after Tom Brady left in the offseason of 2020.
After a dominant run for so many years, time finally caught up to Belichick and the Patriots.
Fox Sports’s Colin Cowherd believes Belichick is to blame for the team’s downfall.
“Bill always said do your job. And then he got successful and the rings. He then started doing the general manager’s job and the coaching job. And he’s a lousy GM,” Cowherd said via The Volume.
“I think it’s the downfall of Belichick in New England”

It is no secret that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady formed the best duo in NFL History among head coaches and quarterbacks.
They made the playoffs 17 times together in two decades.
In fact, they won the division 17 times too.
But, the 6 Super Bowl rings were truly unheard of.
Unfortunately, those days are long over in New England.
After Tom Brady left to go win another Super Bowl in 2020 with Tampa, New England would not win the AFC East again.
They did make the playoffs in 2021 after winning 10 games but didn’t win a playoff game that year.
In Belichick’s final year with the team in 2023, they would go 4-13.
