Canceled! “Prelims” Headliner Scratched Due To A Botched Weight Cut | UFC Vegas 93

The hits keep coming

During UFC Vegas 93’s weigh-ins earlier this morning (Fri., June 14, 2024), UFC announced that the Flyweight bout between Tagir Ulanbekov vs. Joshua Van has been canceled. Ulbenkov missed weight by a whopping 3.5 pounds, coming in at 129.5, while Van successfully made weight at 125.5.

Watch the Russian’s first-ever scale fail below:

Ulenbekov (15-2) is coming off a second round finish of Cody Durden at UFC 296 and is riding a two-fight win streak.

Van (10-1), meanwhile, is one of the brightest young prospects in mixed martial arts (MMA), but has a brutal start to his UFC run with five canceled bouts. He is riding an eight-fight win streak and is coming off a second round knockout of Felipe Bunes (watch it).
